"My art is an expression of what I love or what I am exploring. Whether through travel, life experiences or through exploring different materials, the process of discovery keeps me painting. Color, nature, music, dance, gardening and the Bible are constant inspirations."                


Kandis Hodges was born in Dallas, TX. Her grandfather was a painter with a house full of paintings. Her grandmother was a dancer and ballet teacher. Kandis had private art lessons when young that taught her to see the colors within the colors that surrounded her.
She took an art history class throughout Europe and later returned to study and paint in Italy.
Currently, she lives and paints in Dallas.
